Day 5... Still waiting

Day 5 is rumoured to be one of the worst days.  Apparently I was supposed to want to punch people in the face. *Winning*  I didn't!!!  The last two times I gave up sugar I for sure wanted to punch people.... so I am surprised this didn't hit me hard.  So I am still waiting for this to hurt.   The next two days I am supposed to be very sleepy  which is timed very nicely since it is the weekend.  I am looking forward to a couple of naps!

Back to today:   I am still feeling good.  A few cravings here and there. I am still eating way to much so that might be holding the crash at bay.  The realisation that I still have 25 more days of this kinda hit me today... events where I will have to be a dietary freak are popping up.... I am getting anxious about this commitment!

I got my first workout in this morning in a long time.  It was a quick 26 min cardio video done first thing this morning.  It felt great but I was surprised how challenging it was for me being off for so long (a few weeks).  I am stiff tonight and very glad I got it in.

Today wasn't a great food day.  I am starting to feel very bad for my family.  They are being troopers with my food experimentation and for the most part eating everything (breakfast and lunch with the kids is going great and they aren't following this Whole30 eating plan)  but dinner has been flopping.... I have been enjoying them but not so much my husband (he loves his cheese and pasta!!).  Today my veggie loving kids didn't like the lemon garlic veggies and my experiment with coconut 'breaded' chicken tenders was a bit of a fail.... I kinda enjoyed them but no one else really did, even though they could drown them with plum sauce! I am going to do more homework trying to find more 'comfort' like foods for them.  Things like spaghetti, shepherds pie, stews and crock pot recipes not containing curry ( :( ).

Breakfast:  Post workout- one hard boiled egg.  Around 8am:  Pan fried prosciutto... very good!  Eggs with coconut oil and zucchini (don't ya just hate it when you are out of kale?!?!), fresh berries, 2 cups of coffee (1/2 decaf like always) and coconut milk

Lunch:  Left over taco chicken and broccolette.

Dinner:  A huge plate of lemon garlic veggies and coconut breaded chicken, cherries for dessert (they are all gone too :( )

Snacks:  The last of the banana bread.... gone in two days.... bad bad Alexis...., handfuls of blueberries, grapes and strawberries.  I made some coconut chips for TV on the couch night.  I needed something salty and crunch in lieu of popcorn.  Not as tasty as I hoped but hit the need to crunch on something, a big glass of Perrier on ice :)

Goals:  More water.  More veggies for snacks, less fat, smaller portions.
