Day 2- Not a normal day

Today has been a weird day.  My community is suffering form a local tragedy involving a murder/suicide of a mom and her two kids.  MANY of my close friends are directly affected by this (kids in school with them, play dates ect...) it is horrific.  So that has been weighing on much of my heart this morning.

I have also been eating very weirdly.... I think it is emotional plus just having a busy morning and still not quite on my feet after our vacation.  I am posting this again before the day is done because I am heading out to a photography course this evening :)

Breakfast:  way to many of those latkes, eggs scrambled in coconut oil and sauteed kale. 2 cups of coffee with coconut milk *all my coffee is brewed 1/2 decaf 1/2 reg, or 3/4 reg depending on the night*

Lunch:  Weird.... leftover taco meat (less than a cup) with the leftover guacamole (1Tbls).... a few olives.... I got back late from a play date so was starving and just focused on feeding the kids and ate standing up *bad I know*.  I didn't drink any water until after I ate.... and hour later I was still hungry so I had some leftover bone broth from what I put in the slow cooker for dinner, (BTW.... there is SUGAR in store bought chicken stock!!!!  Good think I am sometimes a hippy and I had frozen bone broth that I used instead)  and two eggs.  OH and I made a batch of roasted broccoli..... very weird lunch and I need to plan MUCH better.  I was just sick of salads from yesterday so this is what happened!

Oh and for the taco seasoning I loosly used this recipe.  One more packaged food item I can get rid of because I can make at home!

Dinner:  Brazillian curry chicken with some roasted broccoli or maybe sauteed bok choy if I am able to make it out to the store, I already need more veggies :)

Snacks:  apple, few grapes, afternoon coffee with coconut milk.  5 Nalgenes of water *didn't make it to my goal of 6 again!*

I'm so, so sorry to hear about what happened in your community! That's horrific - I'll keep everyone in my prayers.

Regarding the lunch, yes it may have been "weird", but you ate a good protein, good fats and some veggies. Plus you got in some bone broth, which is totally a power food. So really, yay for lunch!

You reminded me that I *really* need to make Brazilian curry chicken ASAP!
